Red Amaranth microgreens
Earthy beet flavour. Bright red colour. Delicate blade-shaped leaves. Rich in Vitamins A and C, high in potassium, iron, calcium, manganese, fibre and folate. Use them to brighten up any dish as a garnish or mix some into your salad for added nutrition and flavour.
How to Use:
1. Pour potting mix into inner pot and press to compact. Set aside a little bit of soil.
Water until moist.
2. Sow seed onto wet soil. Take note that 1 seed = 1 seedling.
3. Cover seed with remaining soil. Use a spray bottle to gently water without displacing seed. Keep indoors until seed germinates.
4. Once germinated, transplant into bigger pot. Set next to fence for plant to creep under full sun.

How does the self watering planter work?
Our grow kit is self-watering as it consists of two pots (non-singular use plastic); the inner pot that holds the grow medium (potting mix, soil, leca, moss etc) while the transparent outer pot holds the water or nutrient liquid. A wicking system helps to transfer the water or nutrient liquid from the outer pot to the medium via capillary action and keeps the medium moist as long as the wick is in contact with the water or nutrient liquid. This allows for minimal maintenace and approximately once a week watering. The outer pot is transparent so it is convenient to know when it is time to top up the liquid. Inside the inner pot, there is a layer of geotextile which prevents particles from entering into the contents of the outer pot. Both inner and outer pots can be easily washed for future rounds of growing.
